Sylvia Cazenave-Lavie, Creator of C.Lavie

Methodical analysis

Whether they were carried by perfumers, at a pharmacy,
in a supermarket, or in organic specialty stores,
the selected products caused Sylvia to develop
various cutaneous reactions :

  • Inflamed skin
  • Redness
  • Blemishes
  • Eczema
  • Sylvia therefore decides to visit her dermatologist, who diagnoses her with sensitive, inflammatory and acne-prone skin. He prescribes her a treatment that will literally burn her skin.

  • It wasn’t until then that she started to scrutinize the formulas of each product that she has at home, investigated their components and the effects they have on skin.

  • While making her discoveries, Sylvia stops using the cosmetic products called
“conventional” and turns to products called “organic”, particularly because they do not contain silicon or mineral oils which proved to be very comedogenic.

Even so, Sylvia notices that it is not easy to find products that suit her.
She is disappointed by the odor and texture of the products and continues to develop cutaneous reactions due in part to the significant presence of alcohol or essential oils.

Frustrated and having lost all confidence in cosmetics, including natural and organic ones,
Sylvia begins to create her own skincare products at home.

Sylvia studies
phytotherapy and aromatherapy in order to
know how to choose the most
effective vegetable extracts
that would best suit her skin.

The answer

She then develops her own products

Sylvia gives preference to oil-based serums.
Vegetable oils show a very strong affinity
with the skin, which dramatically benefits from them and tolerates them very well.
Moreover, their great diversity enables the development of products
with extremely varying properties.

  • She then gets back healthy and radiant skin. Encouraged by her friends and family, Sylvia decides to do a 180° career turn to dedicate herself entirely to her passion and create her skincare line. Sylvia perfects her formulas and participates actively in the development of her products.

  • Sylvia is a very feminine woman and a connoisseur of healthy products. She hopes to create effective products without forgetting product benefits uniting sensorial concerns, efficacy, naturalness and respect for skin. She then decides to find a perfumer, in order to create a unique perfume for her products.

At the same time, she forms a partnership with a laboratory that is very interested in her project and in her very effective and 100% natural formulas.

  • The formulas are short and entirely active. They distinguish themselves with their pleasant, penetrating and delicately perfumed textures. These textures are combined with extremely gentle, powerful ingredients selected for their tolerability and their remarkable affinity with skin. These active ingredients, obtained through patented procedures, are results of cutting edge research in eco extraction.

Each ingredient is the target of a rigorous selection process, so as to keep only the highest quality.
